Loss, Love, Lust, Disability

The singers and the writers have it that there is an association between the four horsemen of Loss, Love, Lust, Disability. Only this morning, sitting in a jam on the North Circular, I delighted in the lyrics that are Young Bloods. Check out this lyric:

“I took one look and I was fractured
I tried to walk but I was lame
I tried to talk but I just stuttered:
What’s your name? What’s your name?
What’s your name? What’s your name?

Young blood, young blood, young blood
I can’t get you out of my mind

What crazy stuff! She looked so tough
I had to follow her all the way home
Then things went bad; I met her dad
He said, “You’d better leave my daughter alone.””

Lameness. Speech Impediment and Madness. All because the Coasters saw someone, fell in love, went unrequited and allowed the torture of the senses to turn to Disability.

As someone who has been tortured by Love I do understand the association and report here without criticism. My interest is merely in building a list and showing the lines and giving the songs a title.
