I am at the Archway and District Carers leading a poetry workshop based on the word ‘Summer’ and the five senses. Richard is supporting Sam who rarely speaks and who struggles to write but he knows what he knows and he relates well to all five senses. The other carers also contribute and some read out excellent finished poems. I write one for Sam using his words and space between instruction and read backs.
